Local Community Volunteer Opportunities
We here at Grace & Faith Fellowship believe in the value of engaging our community, not only with what we believe, but with how we share the love of Christ with our lives. Volunteering is a great way to be a blessing to our local community. Below is a list of organizations and ministries that are a blessing to our community and would love to have you join with them.
Reaching Beyond The Fence Ministries

Many individuals imprisoned throughout the world feel alone and abandoned by their relatives and so-called friends. Seeking acceptance and love, they begin to make Jesus their best friend. Proverbs 18:24 states: “Some friendships do not last, but some friends are more loyal than brothers.” (GNT) They hunger for that love, acceptance and friendship that Jesus so freely gives. That is the great thing about Reaching Beyond the Fence (RBTF) Ministry. We as sons and daughters of the Most High “God”, are given the ability to rebuild lives through a simple friendship.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula's vision is that all young people, if they work hard, can live fulfilling lives with a good education, a fair paying job, decent housing, and the ability to raise a family. We want kids' futures to depend more upon their own actions and less upon the circumstances into which they were born.

Virginia Peninsula Foodbank

Food banks provide food to people who otherwise might go hungry. Established in 1986, the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank has been the leading hunger relief organization across the greater Peninsula region, serving the 1 in 7 Virginians who struggle with hunger in the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, and the counties of Gloucester, James City, Mathews, Surry, and York. Hunger relief is truly a collaborative effort, and with the support of our partner agencies, generous donors, and committed volunteers, we are able to provide nourishment and hope to our neighbors in need each day.
